Turning experience into recognised qualifications
RPL Assist is an intelligent Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) platform built for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. It helps learners turn years of workplace experience into formally recognised qualifications by guiding them through every step of the evidence-gathering and assessment journey.
What we do
RPL Assist uses artificial intelligence to cross-map a learner's workplace documents against the units of competency inside a qualification. Each uploaded document is automatically analysed and mapped to every unit it helps prove, so a single piece of evidence can satisfy multiple requirements. Learners follow a structured ten-run assessment journey — six formative runs to build their portfolio, three formal assessment runs, and a final sign-off — receiving provisional, criterion-by-criterion feedback after each submission. An AI evidence guidance agent, the RPL Coach, answers learner questions and recommends exactly which workplace documents to collect. Qualified assessors retain full authority over every competency decision; the AI only provides provisional guidance so the process remains fair, valid, and reliable.
Who it is for
Learners seeking formal recognition of their skills, qualified assessors reviewing evidence, administrators managing qualifications and enrolments, and enrolment officers processing applications.
Built on trust
Every AI finding is labelled provisional. Only qualified assessors make competency decisions, ensuring the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence are always upheld.
Comprehensive coverage
Qualifications, units of competency, evidence guides, and training courses are all managed in one place, with AI-generated guidance for units missing official curriculum.
Who builds it
RPL Assist is built and maintained by the RPL Assist team, dedicated to making prior learning recognition accessible, transparent, and efficient for TVET institutions and their learners.
